Charalampos (Charis) Katsis, PhD
During my PhD tenure, I interned as a research scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and Cisco Research.
My research focuses on end-to-end network security, merging Zero-Trust Network Architectures with advanced threat detection. I develop Machine Learning-based methods for automated security policies while engineering Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) for next-generation firewalls. From designing distributed access controls to building network protocol packet processors that analyze traffic streams for security threats, I build tools that secure enterprise networks from the architectural level down to individual packets.
